During an interview, Dr S Jaishankar was again asked the role that USA played in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. The question was : “Where was the US in all of these”. Dr Jaishankar’s cool and witty reply was: “The U.S. was in the United States.”
Donald trump has been constantly claiming the credit for stopping the war between India and Pakistan. He goes on to imply that he forced India to stop the attacks threatening with the trade. The big leader, who doesn’t really behave like a leader is busy trying to steal the spotlight. He does not care for the facts and figures.
The leech country Pakistan was harboring the terrorists. When India attacked them, the sprang in action to save and avenge the terrorists that they have harbored. They attacked the Indian Airbases. They attacked the personnels of India. People were killed and families and lives were destroyed, but this hypocrite choses to search for spotlight, credit and recognition.
In the interview, Dr Jaishankar has clearly stated that US was nowhere in the picture. He said that the U.S. did not come to mediate or act as a middleman. America remained in America and did not play any direct role. Instead, it was Pakistan that reached out to India for a ceasefire. The DGMO of Pakistan had contacted the DGMO of India and ceasefire agreement was reached. It is t be noted that India had successfully pounded their Airbases and Military Infrastructure. It is a great and a significant feat in itself. Now the only task remains is to trace down those gunmen who actually inflicted the attacks. For this, operation Sindoor will keep on going.
He said clearly:
“If Pakistan wants the firing to stop, their generals must call our generals. And that’s what happened.”
Even some American officials like John Bolton, former National Security Advisor of the U.S., said that Trump always likes to take credit for things. Trump wants to improve his image and maybe even win a Nobel Peace Prize, so he often says such things.
Dr. Jaishankar’s answers are witty, calm, and strong. They make Indians feel proud. He impresses not just world leaders but also the common people. The youth especially admire him. They like how confident and clear he is. He truly is like an iron fist in a velvet glove.

India has made it a clear policy that the matters with Pakistan will be dealt bilaterally only. But the USA has a bad habit of poking its nose into other people’s affairs. Further, it has a track record of always choosing the rotten apple from the pair.
